Our History

1991

Founder and principal engineer, Javier Valenzuela, developed groundbreaking single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling solutions for electronics and cabin temperature control for NASA’s  Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center. Mikros Technologies, based in Lebanon, New Hampshire, employs a team of three people.

2000

The company builds a 15,000-square-foot facility in Claremont, New Hampshire, to expand operations, advance micromachining techniques, and develop innovative thermal management technologies for commercial applications. Located on the Connecticut River, this site has the lowest seismic activity in the state, making the ground stable for high-precision machining.

2005

Customers in the semiconductor testing, laser, and LED markets require liquid cooling. Mikros Technologies supports these industries by developing customized, high-performance solutions tailored to their specific needs.

2015

Liquid cooling technology, initially designed for space applications, is relevant to early innovators and adopters in high-performance computing and AI. Mikros Technologies begins developing direct-to-chip liquid cooling for data centers and commercial use.

2016

Mikros Technologies expands manufacturing operations with the acquisition of a 26,000-square-foot facility in Claremont. The company's original building, located less than a mile away, now functions as a dedicated research and development (R&D) and new product introduction (NPI) center focused on thermal management projects.

2024

Mikros Technologies is acquired by Jabil, a global engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing solutions provider with over 100 sites and 40 million square feet of manufacturing space worldwide. As a Jabil company, Mikros Technologies can efficiently scale its innovative designs and deliver exceptional thermal management capabilities to a diverse range of industries, including data center infrastructure, cloud services, networking, communications, semiconductor manufacturing, photonics, and more.
