Mikros Technologies, Inc was founded by Dr. Javier Valenzuela in 1991 to commercialize micro-EDM technology developed under an SBIR project for NASA Johnson Space Center. The project involved the development of a droplet-impingement evaporator for thermal management on board the Space Station Freedom. Mikros has continued to develop this micro-EDM technology and is presently the world leader in the fabrication of stainless steel micro-nozzles for industrial ink-jet marking systems.

In the past two years, Mikros has returned to its thermal management roots and is now applying its micro-fabrication expertise to the development of high performance micro-channel heat exchangers. Mikros has developed a Normal Flow Cold Plate(NCP) that is capable of removing over 1000 W/cm2 with a low-pressure drop of 2-3 psi.

Mikros invests a significant portion of its revenue in practical R&D activities that lead to breakthrough solutions for demanding applications. Our expertise in design, development and fabrication provides a vertical and end-to-end solution for our customers.
